Hello all!
Got family visiting for a week, so may not be posting as much.But my beans have finally sprouted! Looks like the spinach and chard are sprouting too. Potatoes are doing well.
The Ducks have yet to find even one of the two ponds!

Yeah, America has gone insane.
But I would argue it started back in 2015 when the whole SJW thing came about.
I think what is sadder is since then, despite the claims of inclusiveness, we have been segregating ourselves with “safe spaces” for _____ (insert name of racial group here). We have seen graduations of people of color only at a number of Ivy league colleges.
If anything, we are embracing the idea of tribalism.Note: While George Floyd was not a stand up citizen (he had been in prison a number of times, and at least once of violent crime), he did not deserve to be murdered like that. His murderer and associates should be charged and tried in a court of law. I think the protests are valid, but NOT the rioting and looting.

In the Marines, we had a saying, “There is always that 10% that ruins it for the rest.”
I think that applies to not only LE but society as a whole . . . thinking on it, might be higher for society.
Regardless, there are those who think society can become some kind of egalitarian, altruistic, utopia if the current paradigm was dismantled and everyone held hands and sang kumbyya.
Now, I can think of some good examples of people doing things out of caring for their fellow American: The Boston bombing, 9-11, taking in of horses during a CA wildfire, etc.
But then there are some crappy ones too.There do need to be changes in LE.
But getting rid of LE entirely?

As for the porn, they are overseas bots (mostly). We get hit with them every once in a while.

Even pre0-protests/riots, there was a new trend with Work From Home to leave the cities.
One young lady took a 25% pay cut to leave the Silicon Valley area to move to Salt Lake city. Despite the cut, the lower cost of living she could afford to live.
Read another one where a guy move three house to the East to a small town in the Sierria Nevadas. Same thing. -
There was that one guy who tried to blow a ATM open and just blew himself up.

After another few days of crazy weather, I was finally able to plant some additional seeds: bush beans, spinach, chard, and a bunch of herbs.
Also as a back up planted more beans in containers, and one for herbs that we will bring in over the winter. -
I live on a busy county road, so not really sure about a baseline.
I do know when my neighbor is going to work I can expect to see him go by.
And the Amish coming and going.
The up side is we can hear when a car is slowing down to come to our house.

Yeah, there are more, smaller incidents that are not making that map. But that is not to say the map is a crap or anything. If anything it can give you a better idea of what is going on and where.

I mentioned in another thread, a former Marine and MP became a LEO. At a call, he talked down a guy with a gun (per his Marine MP training), the situation was resolved with no violence, and the guy taken into custody and NOT shot.
The police department fired that LEO/former Marine, because they argued he put the lives of the other LEOs on the scene in danger.How messed up is that?
