ParticipantOur natural gas doubled last month, with no change in the household. Keeping the lights on, running water, and gas for work is going to get Interesting to say the least.

Participant<p style=”text-align: center;”>I think Covid will be the biggest butt kicker this month, although politics will still be roiling. We keep on keeping on—prepping/putting back/saving anything and everything. It has turned COLD in NC. I have a gut feeling it is going to be a long winter—actually and figuratively. We are waiting on more inevitable lockdown/restrictions. A lot of folks are getting their work hours cut because of revenue issues. Lots of folks still working from home. LOTS of folks sick with Covid. I think it is reasonable to expect numbers to surge significantly in the next couple of weeks. Even so, I think this is the calm before the storm.

Participant<p style=”text-align: right;”>There is a part of me which cannot believe it either, but then there is a part which can. On Monday I plan to check on a piece of info I received last week. Our governor has reportedly unilaterally mandated that anyone who has a conceal and carry will be charged with a felony if found ignoring Covid rules (NC). All other violators will be charged with a misdemeanor. What does one have to do with the other? I read this morning that Vermont school systems plan to question children about their family’s Thanksgiving gathering prior to allowing them to re-enter school on Monday. WTH? The red, white, and blue is still flying here in my city. What has changed constitutionally of which I am not aware?

ParticipantI am in NC as well. Businesses are going to have a hard time enforcing this. By threatening businesses, he has put them in the place of enforcement. So a minimum wage worker is going to take on an angry, noncompliant customer? In a store like Walmart, where a lot of folks are not on their best behavior anyway? And how does he plan to enforce this “in homes” or cars? I hope people stay out of trouble, but I dont think it is going to work according to plan. To be VERY honest, I can see him setting up reporting lines and checkpoints. My advice to anyone is, make sure your address on your license is up to date, pull your blinds when you are home, and make sure your have a mask with you—-or just “dont be there”—-cuz it is going to get much worse and very expensive before it gets anywhere near better.

ParticipantI read this article in the MSM a few hours ago. I WAS surprised to see CNBC carrying it. I am deeply concerned about this vaccine. Developed too fast. MRNA design. So many unknowns. But most frightening, I honestly feel there will be a LOT of pressure to take it. I am a healthcare person, and my gut says BE WARY.

ParticipantNone of our stores have recovered since March. We purchase whatever we find, food or paper products, everytime we can find them.

ParticipantThis is a brazen bill. What happens if the kid gets sick from a vaccine? How will the insurance co bill the parent for services? Most children dont carry an insurance card. This is a hornet’s nest for sure.

ParticipantAs reports have come in this week regarding increasing numbers, this is going to get “interesting”. The new mandates by varying states are.concerning.
