Amy most of the time compressed air needs to come from a electric or engine driven compressor. There are manual compressors but they are rare. We keep a engine driven one for our needs on farm, but even those are not overly common expecially with diesel engines. Gas ones means after 1 year of teowaki you have expensive metal junk because no fuel.
