LOL….that Klingon is going to be really useful, Corsaire. I think I know a few words/phrases…so ya just never know.
I’ve studied one language for several years…..wayyyy long time ago. It’s in my head somewhere. Another one for less time and remember little. But one thing I’ve done was to collect dictionaries in different languages. English to Spanish and reversed, etc. I think I’ve got about 5 languages, including the 2 I’ve studied …plus the first language of a family member who learned English. We KNOW how much a dictionary is vital when you have no common language.
Anyone know the manual alphabet for the deaf [speaking with fingers]? Or Braille? LOL All thru school my best friend and I passed notes in Braille. Not bumps on stiff paper but just written dots…so no one could read our notes, of course. Also “spoke” across the classroom with hand-spelling with the deaf alphabet.
Actually I do have a Braille slate/stylus and paper but it’s a doozy to reverse the order cuz you poke the dots thru the back of the paper and read the front.
Under the heading of: you just never know when it might come in handy.
