Alas Babylon, Earth Abides, One Second After and Lucifer’s Hammer are probably some of my favorites. Earth Abides just shakes me to my core every. single. time.
I just finished reading Locker Nine which was pretty good. As a parent it was very encouraging to see a pretty normal and healthy way of preparing kids for facing adversity.
I won’t lie, World War Z is a favorite for lots of reasons. I’m not at all concerned about zombies, but I think that book is really exemplary.
Lights Out was great.
