Daisy, your say “[An EMP] would be a logical approach to conquering the US” but think who could do that. Iran and North Korea have not enough population or resources to attempt an invasion even of a weakened USA. Russia, has half of the population of the USA, plenty of natural resources and territory so why should they do that well knowing that they can be retaliated against and will lose everything? Last actor in the list is China. China needs agricultural land and is dependent for some natural resources from other countries so it would be the only possible perpetrator. If they do it, they have to move millions of soldiers to the former USA to control even a reduced population. Not easy to do especially after all your main cities as been nuked.
My conspiratorial mind tells me that if an event that looks like an EMP attack ever happens, it will be an inside job.
