I have a good friend who works in one of the Amazon distros centers.
30hrs a week. That is it. Nothing more. No benefits.
The attrition rate is so high, if they start the month with 50 new employees, they are lucky to have 6 by the end of that month.
After 2 months, he was considered a “old timer.”
As the “old timer,” he gets the joy of spinning the newbies up on how to do the job. No additional pay.
72 people on the floor is fully staffed. They average around 30. Sometimes less.

He is looking for another job.
