With respect, I am inclined to disagree.
From what I have seen and read, this technology is more widely available to anyone. I fully expect to see more fake news from both sides in the up coming election.
Now, could this be used to consolidate power behind certain big tech groups who then act as the gate keepers to what is reported as news, well, you be the judge.
