Crow Bar, I live in the area and have all of my life. This was just another day in the hood. Memphis is Chicago South and has been for awhile now.
This story making the national news was just a fluke, must have been a slow news day, or perhaps they hoped it would turn into something bigger. The rioting in Frayser was just the usual reaction and to be expected.
Those of us who have to travel through the city are much more concerned with all of the shootings on the interstate.
