I think its a case of there are too many of those guys . Trucking schools keep pumping out people every year , to look for the same jobs . Like any other sector of the economy , where you have a glut , the value of the job decreases , along with the pay . To me , its simply a case of we have what we need , not that the economy is going south . Find another line of work , that isn’t full up .
