Daisy, we are on the east coast of VA and are ready. We are about 35 miles inland from VA Beach in N.Suffolk. So we are good to go.
Brighteyes, I posted on the welcome site. Now I see where you are. I know the area you are at. Stay safe as you could be having a cat 3 coming your way. Just make sure you have plenty of stored water as well as your other preps. You will need it for flushing toilets, washing dishes and all the other things water is needed for. We have always filled our bath tubs up for use as well as all our large pots. We have bottled water for drinking as well. We now have about 8 5 gal. water containers that I have filled as well. Had to use those for my daughter a few years ago when a tornato took out the city water where she was. 3 children and one was a new born. They came to our house to take baths and took water home each time. 2 weeks with no running water. So we know the city water can be knocked out here. As for us at that time, we had the water but no electric for 2 weeks. We made out great.
So be careful and take care. Daisy’s book is a great one to learn from. She has a lot of great info on her e-books.
