We have been going back and forth on the hurricanes and a host of other issues.
This year he’s staying put, last year he evacuated for one and stayed away for the second.
I send him pictures of the snow in the yard, he sends pictures of the pools he’s working on. We also trade weather reports. I generally win.
It’s funny, the people who have been through the hurricanes (and learned) are like those that have been through tornadoes, they are just kicking back and waiting for landfall.
You have your preps, get ready and sit back and wait. A certain fatalism is in both groups. There’s only so much you can do.
