The questions: Unless the natural gas is turned off, No we will not lose electricity. If turned off, right now we’re sol. That’s why I want to add solar/wind back up. Need to keep the sump working or I lose half the living space(finished basement). Have a 12 hour back up battery but without the means to recharge the battery or have a few stored, the sump will fail. Running water, no. Am working on getting rain barrels and adding to the stash of bottled water. Food, yes for awhile. Have been putting food, paper products, etc away and trying to get things growing around here. We might be able to purchase some food stuffs IF we can get out depending on the emergency. Need to evacuate, maybe depends on whether or not our home is affected. Family members affected? Yes DH has a CPAP machine. If Son1 and family are here, he also has a CPAP. So far Son2’s family and I are okay, no electronic devices needed.
