Disaster – tornado
Yes, we will probably lose power due to downed trees hitting the power lines. We live at the furthest border for our REMC and are historically the last to be reconnected. We have a generator if needed.
Yes, we will lose running water unless we run the pump through the generator. We have stored water for all uses as a backup.
We will most likely rely on our stores. The closest grocery store is 10 miles. I have cash stashed away at home if I can’t use a credit card but relying on our stored supplies is the best option.
Evacuate? Only if our home is uninhabitable. We have a son who lives 30 minutes north and one 30 minutes south I would hope we could make it to one or the other.
Any other family members affected? At this time both hubby and I are in good health and in good shape. But we are 70 and 69, so we would be affected more in the future if one of us gets sick or hurt.
