Okaay, I’m a book person and I’ve read/seen several of those 50 movie titles.  Read the whole Divergent series, The Postman.  Don’t forget Robinson Crusoe..the original!  It’s long and in old English.

I’ve read hundreds of Dystopian eBooks….all free, of course.  Some I wanna smack the author up side the head….y’know?  Cuz they are SO wrong about some things they should not be wrong about!  But most are of some value.  I give any author credit for finishing/publishing.  I write but never finish.

Saw long ago: Hunger Games, Outbreak, Red Dawn original, Book of Eli, War of the Worlds original…

Dante’s Peak…hoped DH had this one to watch again but no….  What DO you do when you have a blinded/afraid/foolish/stubborn/beloved/  one in your family that refuses to GET OUTTA DODGE???  Kids loved their Grma…..and it nearly got everyone killed cuz she had her Normalcy Bias set on 100%. “It’s never been a danger before, so it won’t ever.”  That was a very real part of that movie….easily happen in any of our family groups.  That was my take-away pondering for that one.

Swiss Family Robinson was one of my favorite childhood books.  I keep rereading it every decade or so.  Disney movie was disappointing.  Book was much more detailed, as always.  But I loved seeing the tree house at Disneyland CA.  [Yes, I investigated the mechanisms of that tree house as an adult! LOL ]  That was my survival plan..tree house.  LOL  Sparked preparedness in me as a child….but then, I ALWAYS brought the proverbial ‘kitchen sink’ along when I went anywhere.  Even when I was little.  Thot Girl Scouts were lame and wanted to do what the Boy Scouts did.

So since DH is the movie person in this household and picks up used DVDs, I checked with him this morning.  He has Volcano [Tommy Lee Jones].  Apparently LA is erupting instead earthquake.  Hmm, do I have the energy today for trauma/drama/stress?  [ I hear you, Muffy!!]   Not kidding this time.  I’ve been barely able to walk to kitchen this day after a rough time yesterday.

But…I’ll give this a try……if I can figure out how to do a DVD in my laptop.  Not a real techie person, mind you.  I’ve never played a DVD before in the lap top.  But hey, I’ve played a cylinder recording…ever heard of THAT ancient technology.  Pre-old flat disc records….way before ’45s.    LOL
