Wood runner, Yup it was Lifeboat with Marlena Dietrich. As for me I re watched The Day After Tomorrow while waiting for Son1 & family to show up, got a chuckle (again) when the homeless guy was teaching the privileged kid how to insulate with the book pages to keep warm. Thought when I first watched the movie how convenient the fireplace was workable. Given what I believe, if that is a real building that fireplace would have been blocked off years before and would have been unusable but it made for a good story about using what ya had to survive.
