Criticizing the government is EXACTLY what the founders of our nation intended , they did not want a nation of sheep . They well understood that distrust , and criticism of the government by its citizens , is critical to avoid a tyranny . If you read the US Constitution , you will find that the reason we have the bill of rights , and why the structure is set up the way it is , is because our founders , in their wisdom understood that quite simply , people can’t be trusted . Thats the reason for the layers of checks and balances . Feel free to criticize , and call out the powers for corruption or wrong doing ………..it is important , and patriotic . Patriotism is NOT blind obedience .
