RE: gophers.. from man in hardware store who said his dad & grandfather were farmers..
put a tablespoon of dry lye down open holes.
set flat-ish rock or piece of wood on top and cover w/dirt.
dirt will hold fumes inside.
haven’t tried it yet but sounds logical.
