I think with the way things are happening around the world with our food supplies. The fires in CA., our weather, not enough rain or to much rain, flooding etc. The problem with the pigs and not just pigs. Our food chain is detertating at an alarming rate. And no bacon, my grandkids would die on the spot. They live for bacon. My daughter works for Smithfield foods. She does the medical billing. China bought out a great deal of Smithfield foods. Things are not looking good and I am already noticing a lack of canned goods in stores as they now don’t even put out near what they used to and is spreading out all the can goods to try to make shelves look full. We are heading for a famine. It may not be next year but I am willing to bet we are going to see a food shortage as it is already starting to show in the stores now.
I plan on buying some boston butts to can when they go on sell. As well as stocking up on bacon. They say you can can bacon but I would be leary of doing it. So going to buy some canned bacon from one of the long term places. Will have to see who has the best deals. I feel a resseion is around the corner and then a strong possiblity of a depression coming down the road.
Things are lining up fast now.
