@WB, I dunno.
I am looking more at it from the poor spring planting season the midwest had, increase in feed prices, many farmers may sell off their stock (hog, cattle, poultry) to avoid paying high feed prices.
In the short term, we may see end consumer costs drop from a increase of those meats coming to market.
But the following year, as the farmers/ranchers have to build their breed stock back up, we may see a spike in meat costs.
And IF we have another bad spring, oh, boy. Then things get real interesting.
The wife and I are getting at least 2 hogs next year. If friends/neighbors feel the same as we, might get a third one for them.
