Corsaire grain grow and harvest are tough without mechanical help…. be better if you have space to buy whole grain un processed wheat and sore it with a stone grinder. Stuff last for 10 years easy instorage. Have heard of Egyptian tomb grains being planted and grown after 1000 of years.
For grain if you really want to grow is dependant on your soil type and temperate zone. If you have gluten issue people look at einkorn. To make it worth using a combine need atleast 10 acres. Drying and processing by hand is time and space consuming with many rodent issues. Some things like barley if it get mouldy can kill you from toxins and spores.
