If its would, thats great, thats minimal damage and deaths.
Could? Again thats what appears to be a minimum for the Southern California area.
Part fo the problem with comparing different catastrophic events is they are different. Different building codes, different materials and such.
A comparison with Haiti or Puerto Rico after the hurricanes may be just as valid, the cause of the damage is different but the results of the damage is similar.
