What I could see is there are opertunity groups once they knew grid down they would “gather supplies” If you are in wrong spot who knows.
Out here nothing would change much as everyone had back up gens including village. Problem would be fuel after a week. There are several. Local micro hydro dams which could be localized for micro grid use if transformers are ok.
You don’t think some entitled person would shoot someone at gas station when sports car has no gas and the credit cards don’t work? We live in place where gun play happens over a chicken sandwhich. People honking and line up as cars run put of fuel or don’t work…
Imagine how mad when can’t get hotel or food or cash and in beginning cash will still be accepted. Not like people would not steal and when nothing happens it accelerates. How many non prepper do you know that have cash on hand enough for how long a day a week a month?
