OldMtwoman, praying that all goes well with your DH’s surgery. Seems we are all having some sort of issues these days. Getting old sucks.  Tired of going to all these doctors and it is not over. Those are just for DH. He is in cong. heart failure. All we can do is keep him comfortable and try our best to keep the fluid off. That is not easy to do. But working on it. His water is limited to 1 quart a day. This includes coffee, tea as well. No salt what so ever though he will get some that is natural in foods. But that is it. His salt intake after his stroke was no more that 2000 miligrams per day. That was easy. Not it is no more than 50 to 100 miligrams per day. That is the hard part.

So today was 78* outside. We broke the record of 74*. So I took advantage and cleaned out the sheds, repacked the Christmas decorations I had taken down and got them in the shed. Moved the extra hot water tank from my shed to the garden shed to make room for things we need for prepping and found all kinds of stuff for prepping I had forgotten about.  Got the clothes washed, dryed but still need to get them put away. Still need to get the Christmas tree down and put away. Will work on that tomorrow.

Though it has been a rough 4 or 5 months we really had a great Christmas. And yes I passed the batton to my daughter, who will be doing all the cooking, etc. next year. Told them all we will not be doing all this any longer as it has been way to hard on us this year. Of course my step daughter was not happy but she will get over it. She can come to my house and I will offer her something to drink and whatever I have at the time to eat but no meals. We are going to enjoy next Christmas after 35 plus years of cooking, cleaning and decorating just to have to clean it all up and then take all the decorations down. Gee I am getting to old for all that. We are in dire need of a break. Going to daughter’s house next year will be so much better for us.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and soon to be a happy new year. Lots of challanges if I can get the time to do some of them.

Getting tired so going to go take shower and get ready for bed.  Later everyone. Night.
