Mink has two uses fur is super warm and nice and it is a plague carrier the bubonic kind.. the bodies can be used as pet food. For drying and skin stretching and pelt removal there are lots of you tubes on it… I use a 1 x6 for stretching hides.
Right now pine marten is in trapping season here … have 60 hides so far this cold will help. It takes 180 plus a center fur like a wolverine or bobcat or beaver to make a king sized top blanket. They are wow item for walls or bed spreads. Have the first one I made its 20 years old a bit worn but still very nice.
Our place would cause a peta and vegan to have appilexy as alot of animal products. Everyone wants cariboo over mitts when cold with the fur on inside with flip fingers. The hollow hairs keep you warm in crazy cold. Can go sleding at -30 and not need hand warmer handle bars. Also makes best ass warmer on equipment used in cold without heat.
