Where does it grant government right to change or add provisions? It does not no exceptions an change is treason and a violation of the oath of office.
I get it that there are assholes in life and limiting other freedoms is a security blanket. Show one place in world with no gun laws without violence of murder with other things? This law was meant to keep the type of governance we are now experiencing from being able to push this crap on those they are meant to represent but no longer do.
Even having felons denied right after they have paid debt to society their rights are just that rights not privaledges given to us. When has a criminal ever been detered by laws? A gun deters and stops many criminals.
