Last week while organizing the farmhouse pantry I found a small plastic box and in this box was a sealed metal can and labeled “seed vault”, the picture on the can states these vegetable seeds are heirloom. Don’t know if I should open this can to start some seeds indoors or leave the can unopened and save them in case things go bad later.
Just a few days until February and then I am planting potatoes in an old block raised garden bed that I will clean out, dig deeper, add new soil, hopefully in three to four months I get to dig up potatoes. I printed out a copy of what vegetable can be planted in what month for my zone and it a twelve month planting guide, hope that will help me when it comes to gardening.
It is cold and damp today so staying in making taco soup, cornbread and brownies for supper tonight, have not been out to the grocery store just making due with what I have and doing it all homemade, really don’t want to chance coming down with anymore cold or flu since we still have this cough since early January that I am beginning to think will never go away.
I know I am going to have to go out grocery shopping and I am going to try and shop for the whole month, so I have to make a list of everything needed and it’s a lot. I do have some surgical mask to wear but no gloves, don’t know how effected those mask are at protecting one from a virus.
