Both parties fully know well that their odds of being elected or re-elected is tied to the economy/stock market. That is why the disparage the economy while the other is in power. Or in this particular case, the Dems making the claim it was Obama’s doing that is the reason why, until Covid-19, that the economy is doing well. Up till then, they claimed the economy was in taters.
China did not take appropriate actions to control or contain this thing. If they would have, they would of shut down all international travel. That was they only solution. They half assed it to try to keep the appearance of control and their economy going, until it was clear they had neither.
Of course the Western/EU response was slow. They are more concerned with PC, and the economy vs what needs to be done. And that would be an isolation stance. That is counter to everything the EU is, and what PC is to the US. Recall all the talk about how bad nationalism, tribalism is pre-Trump?
