How do you define just like China?
Chinese New Year is when the country pretty much shuts down for two weeks. Many of those who work in the factories in the big cities but have family in the rural areas, leave and go home.
Before the Whuhan lock down, the Chinese government extended the holiday by a week. Of course by then it was way to late anyways. Then they shut down Whuhan.
