I always loved science fiction and time travel in particular, which is terribly hard to write in a coherent way. I have concluded that either, the future is unpredictable because the simple fact of predicting it, would change it, or it is unchangeable so all predictions are useless.
On a less philosophical level, if those expert would know, they would not tell us. They would just make money out of it.
