In our area just open carry. When we go to big city it’s always at least 2 armed adults. Vehicle has hidden locked rifle and pistol cache that can be acessed from back seat or front ( roof mounts)
For personal carry I have bigger hands and just got our leather worker to make me a holster with extra mag attached to the long side of holster on other side of top rail. The holster has carry snap on one for clip on waist one for use with Molle one for a old fash shoulder rig with 8 extra mag pouches if required. The clip can also me modified with additional leather to be a drop leg holster…. the drop leg is my favorite carry.
The shoulder mag carry with 8 mags feels a bit heavy but nothing compared to full battle rattle. When I wear a mid weight jacket or only shows in certain motions.
I also carry 2 knives a pocket folder with clip and usually a kabar on other hip to help balance the weight.
The leather belt is 3/8 inch thick and 2 inches wide there is a pocket inside for cash two coins sliver one gold. Looped wire saw wire with two different sized finger rings.
We all carry 2 ready man slim cards the lock pick and the survival ones. I also carry a escape clip on me somewhere that I can reach even if hands tied behind back with with flex cuff or standard. Even double locked.
There are also some meds sewn into belt just for needing to go and move if you are in rough shape.
