I also read today about a man suing Oxford because he didn’t like his test scores from SEVENTEEN years ago.

It is more than ridiculous. Why does no one have personal responsibility anymore? I had a student argue with me today because she’s failing my class. She’s a sophomore, 15 years old, and she has only turned in about a third of the assignments in the last month. She was mad at ME! I told her to get over it and get her work turned in, or fail the class- either way is not my problem. I’m fortunate to have a supportive admin team or I’d probably be forced to pass her anyway. This is what social media and I’m-your-friend parenting does to our society.
