Yesterday’s prep was to buy the canned ingredients for a soup we liked, write type the recipe on cardstock and put into a page protector. All this went into a box so if we need a quick dinner as well as part of our long term storage.
This is the recipe we used https://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/seven-can-soup/?printable_recipe=78065 I substituted navy beans for black beans since my husband doesn’t like black beans.
I’m on a hunt for more recipes with shelf stable ingredients I can get at most grocery stores, so if someone has one, I’d love to see it.
Today I made the mixes for two hamburger stroganoff and put them in jars. I have already browned meat in the freezer to use with this. (I also made two 1/4 recipes of this into a 1/2 pint jar for my college aged son to use when he is cooking for himself.)
