We live on-grid in the country, with no access to natural gas lines in our area (for a stand-by generator), and almost always lose power when we get a lot of rain. We lost power this morning right around midnight, and awoke to it being off around 7am. I have plug-in lights (that come on when the power goes off/to be used as flashlights) all over the house. My husband let me know that 2 of our older lights (different brands) are on their way out, so I ordered more today. They come in super handy when the power goes out after dark, so we can see our way around the house, and then turn off those that aren’t immediately needed to save as short-term flashlights.
