11/9 Today I worked on purging my bookshelves. bagged up a bunch to donate to our local library for their use or their booksale, did several book reveiws online, ordered a supply in of dog food for Bubba, our beagle/terrier mix, and for our daughter and son in law’s pitbull mix, Jade. Try to keep at least a 9 month to a year supply on hand for each, stored in metal trashcans. Works great, keep each bag in mylar separately, and they stay fresh, with no pest or rodent problem thanks to the metal cans. I am using the freed up space on the bookshelves to store more canned foods and water, behind the piles and stacks of books. I figure out of sight is good, so I try to use any available space. I keep an index card in my recipe box that lists what is hiding where, so my daughter or hubby would know if something happened to me.
Extra canned beans, 10 cases of different varieties, purchased yesterday on sale are now cozy under the sofa. Lots of reorganizing in the pantry on the agenda this weekend, need to do inventory update.
