Until a few years ago, my father thought I was crazy for pile stocking lighters, matches, candles etc… Well not anymore!

Since the first of November, without knowing about the challenge, this is what I’ve done:

1 – Revisited my calling tree, to add people that would be great asset in an event of emergency, remove those who have prooved to be unworthy of trust.  2 – Went dumpster-diving on a inspired moment and got a huge load of Halloween candy. We did not plan to do it beforehand, we will in the future. You should have seen the faces of the kids with us! 3 – Went grocery shopping and bought some bouillons cubes to add to our EDC kits and to put in with our stocking stuffers. 4 – Repackaged some pulses, planning to can some in the upcoming weeks so that we can use quickly when needed. 5 – Made a list of supplies needed to be restocked. 6 – Checked my camping stove, made sure it is in working condition and that we have enough butane stashed away. 7 – I belong to a group wher we share information about gardening, cooking, learning. Started a list of subjects I would see brought up for our Regional and National annual meetings about being prepared. Some of our members are single and vulnerable, I want them to be taken care of and well equipped. 8 – Replaced batteries in all alarms and other needed equipment. Put the used batteries in a container for later evaluation of their remaining charge for use in a pinch if needed.

I had written those in my planner after completing them, so that I could keep track of what I’m doing. That’s why I’m able to post today 🙂 I do small tasks like that on a daily basis as a way to keep my mind sharp. I was sick two days and used that time to read up my book Extreme weather survival guide from national geographic. A 35$ book I got for 3$.

Have agood one
