<p style=”text-align: left;”>Ok, here goes. Every week I check sales on food and keep my eyes open for good fruit, veggie and meat sales. This month I’ve canned chicken (49 cents a pound), pickled okra, friend and frozen okra($1 a pound), pears( free from trees), tomato juice, diced tomatoes($20 a box), apple pie filling, and apple sauce($6 a brown bag full). I’ve reorganized the food pantry, bought red and white wheat for grinding and made a new wheat bread recipe. Bread flower bought in bulk to try a new white bread recipe as well. Both were very good! Cleaned out the root cellar to make room for 5 new bussel of potatoes as the previous five rotted (don’t know why, what an awful smell!). Maintaining my winter garden of dragon tongue green beans, kale, carrots, turban squash, beets, and cabbage. Made sure my stock of hand and toe warmers, propane, hot chocolate was sufficient for the outdoor market I vend at through December. Used the mini emergency kit out of my purse to light the propane heater. Chopped and stacked wood for the wood stove. Checked kero in tank for house heater. Organized dressers for winter clothes and donated unwanted items. Filled 5, 5 gallon containers of gas and KERO for emergency use. <span style=”text-align: center;”>Collected Mason canning jars and bought lids and rings. Just this week, the kitchen cabinets were cleaned and organized along with the fridge. Guns were cleaned. Cars serviced. I’m sure there is more. I drive my family crazy. I follow a monthly Preppers U calendar.
