Yesterday, the winds gusted something fierce here. I haven’t fully surveyed the property, but at least 4 good size trees fell yesterday. More firewood to be cut up in the spring. It will go into my rotation for chopping, stacking, seasoning, etc.
Yesterday, I lost power for about 4 hours. It gave me an opportunity to go through my no power checklist. I heated up soup on the wood stove.
I also continued my unpacking, inventory, and organization. This morning, I focused on toiletries. The only area that I seem to be lacking is toilet paper! I don’t have my 12 month supply.
I am headed out today to fix the potential toilet paper shortage. The local grocery store (only 25-30 minutes away) has a Veterans Day Sale with an extra 11% off for vets, like me. I plan to stock on certain sale canned goods and tp.
