Not surprised that there isn’t info for the US but I am 100% sure we have a high overuse rate.
I know people who have their kids on antibiotics nearly year round. The second they get a sniffle or a cough, off to the doctor for the next script. If only their mom’s would understand that if they let the kids get a little sick now and then, tough it out for a few days, their own bodies would fight it off. With all the antibiotics they have gone through their bodies have no idea what to do. What is going to happen when they are grown and don’t have money for the doctor and the meds? Scary stuff.
