Sunday I worked both jobs, so other than planning my menu for Monday and taking meat out of the freezer, there was not much prep work. I did save some music from the dump as a friend was throwing it out.
Today, Monday, I put the eye of round steaks in the sous vide as soon as I got up; which was 9:40 am – so a great sleep in for my day off. My friend dropped off a working frig that I’m going to recycle thru my electric company. She put it in front of the mail slot so I need to move it. She is in another county that doesn’t offer this service. Tomorrow is garbage day, so I’ll search around to make sure all the trash and recycle leaves.
Besides the steaks, I’m making mashed cauliflower and sautéed mushrooms. I cook enough on my day off to last till my next day off which is Saturday. Tonight, I’ll portion out those next 4 dinners to take to work ( I work 2:30 pm to 11 pm).
