Big drop in temps, cold, damp, gray day making it hard for me to do much today….definitely has me looking at my winter things, especially pulling out the long johns and sweaters….read the article on this web site about what to do in an earthquake as I live in the New Madrid hot spot for potential quake….feel occasional tremors here but have experienced a 6.6 quake one time in Costa Rica so I know what a “big one” can feel like….pretty scary for sure….recently had the gas man show me how to turn off the gas at the point of entry into my house, so I think that’s something I would add to things to check out and do should we get a big one similar to the one that formed Reelfoot Lake back in the late 1800’s I think it was. Earthquakes happen without warning typically so mostly it seems to me the best thing to do is to practice reminding oneself to remain calm and not panic.
