Took a long drive today on the back roads of north western Montana.  Snow on the peaks, but the roads were clear.  Some great retreat property out there, but the winters are brutal.

Made lunch today using some Costco canned chicken. (The emergency food).   It was passed its “use by” date, but only by a few months. If I don’t post tomorrow it will be because I’m dead from food poisoning!  Actually, one thing that makes it very hard to spend $$ on canned food is how seldom we eat it.  I mean why would you eat canned food when there is plenty of cheap fresh and even fresh organic foods around.  So we buy the canned stuff and it sits and sits.  We usually eventually donate to the food bank.

After lunch the pooch and I took our afternoon hike.  Finally got my GPS working.  The hike is actually 2.75 miles, not 2 miles, and will be longer soon when we have to stick to the road in stead of the trails because of the snow.

Oh, and the problem with the GPS, it was just the nut behind the wheel!!
