I added 20 cans of tuna ($.49 a piece!), 20 cans of smoked ham (got these for a buck a piece at the grocery salvage today, they are normally $2.59 a can at Kroger!), 10 cans of mackerel to the food storage today. I canned 7 quarts of chili beans, 14 pints of speckle butter beans this morning. We save our dryer lint, burnt out candles, and egg cartons to make fire starters, got 24 done today while waiting on the canner to cool off. Vacuum sealed 20 pounds of jasmine rice and 10 pounds of oats.

It was a busy morning.
