11/17/2018 My sister called with great news – she found some elderberry bare roots and the seed company will actually ship to Arizona. I wanted to plant NOW in my indoor garden (with the grow lights) but the company refuses to ship until February. My sister is mailing me a box of dried comfrey leaves – WAHOO! Something ate the roots of my last surviving comfrey plant; our heat is brutal and I baby any plant I can get to grow. I hear many people consider this a weed; I should be so lucky. I think of putting up another indoor garden box set up and strictly growing comfrey in it. My son requested some homemade lavender salve and is willing to wait for it since I used up the rest of my lavender oil in the comfrey salve. Went outside to harvest some more lavender flowers and noticed a bunch of baby lavender plants growing all around. Transplanted them in my fish aquarium grow box to keep them safe. I love free things. Harvested around 40 aloe vera stems and will let the aloin drain overnight. First batch of Yerba Manza is dry and I picked a second batch for the dehydrator.
