Another mildly productive day. Husband got two of the benches (HIS territory) in the garage cleaned off. (There was actually a counter top under there! I thought all that stuff was levitating!) Food storage is almost completed. I’ve started a printed list of each category/each item/ and quantity. Actually found some things that would expire before Feb. 2019 so made up two bags for the food bank. Caught up on laundry, vacuumed the house again, got 4 Christmas cards made. Worked on the middle granddaughter’s Christmas present. Got the pantry in the kitchen and two other cabinets emptied and sorted. Brought up toilet paper, tissues, and trash bags from storage. Picked up two Sunday papers – already cut out the grocery coupons, sorted out what we will use and the rest are ready to be sent on to others who will use them.
If anyone has elderly friends or relatives please, please talk to them about their lives & experiences. Tape record the conversations, use your phone or whatever you have. We didn’t do this before my Father died, now it is my Mother who has dementia, she can no longer talk. Does your family have many photographs? Sit down with your relatives and mark who everyone in the picture is! I did not do this either and now I have a storage tub full of pictures from the late 1800s and early 1900s. I have no idea who 80% of these people are and no way to find out.
