Sorted the Frontier Coop order today that arrived over the weekend. Four of us ordered – mine was mostly dried veggies and herbs in Mylar bags and some containers for storing bulk items.
This isn’t really prepping – more like “resistance” and motivation to veer my business off in a slightly different direction: Received an email today from an international corporate home office that says the office is located in Wisconsin (but the details point elsewhere). This company actually bought up TWO of my clients, one in Europe and one here in the US, and now, a few years down the line, they are trying to get everyone to fall in line with uniform rates, uniform resumes on file, etc. The reason I don’t believe they are even writing from the US is because they want a “Europass CV” (I told them that since this would require quite a bit of my time, they would have it when I no longer have any paying work…. They already have my resume and I’ve worked for them for nearly 15 years!). I’m a little mad. I wish these big corporations who really aren’t interested in quality and just want to squeeze every bit of blood out of the companies they buy up would stop buying up my clients!
The email was entitled: “Gentile Reminder – New Production System – Your Feedback is Requested”
I got a few giggles out of that one today.
So I’m going back to working on marketing strategies to find new clients for the future – it’s a constant effort.
