Hi, everybody! I’m really enjoying reading your posts and getting so many great ideas. Thanks for sharing. My bug out bag I keep in the car keeps sliding off my to-do list each day. Little ole procrastinator me hoping no need for it before I finally decide other things don’t sound like more fun. Jumped up and down like a kid yesterday (well, my 80 year old body has limits on the jumping thing) but my spinach is at last sprouting!!! I moved the “unit” inside my tool shed because it’s so unseasonably cold here; but, today I’m rethinking the move because of a lack of good light. I’ll keep playing around with the idea and just maybe I’ll eventually get a crop of spinach. Just delighted with growing the celery from the base I cut off. Once it got started it’s growing like crazy every day, so I’ve now planted it in some miracle grow potting soil and have my fingers crossed. Am keeping this in my laundry room with what I hope is adequate natural light. For you serious gardeners, I’m sure my little efforts at growing plants indoors is comical but at my age it’s serving an important function. It’s something I’ve never done before, the plants are living things so I feel a commitment to get up and take care of them and the project makes me excited to make the effort to get up and keep on going. My posts are too long, but it’s nice to think there is someone out there who might be reading them. Today I am so very thankful for my internet and computer and mobile phone. Counting blessings every day is a good life habit to develop. It will get you through those inevitable dark times in life. 🙂
