I’m sure others gain different insights during this challenge, but to me the point is to look at my pantry preps and see where my strengths and weaknesses lie. It helps me focus on not only what I may need but also how to be creative with what I have. Adding in the money part may help participants realize not only where money goes (sometimes without thinking) but also pay attention to what is truly needed rather than just dropping a dollar whenever. I know most of us budget anyway, but this would be an extra squeeze for a month. Think of it as an austerity test.
