Thanks, AmyD for the Preps for Chronically Ill/Disabled.  I collect data/ideas like that…for obvious reasons.

Muffy I read all of yours and it’s great to keep on learning and doing!!

Yesterday was a blur but I finally got my new heating pad.  It’s electric …but I do have hot water bottles and cloth bag of rice for non-electric means.  Mainly it’s great for getting me warmed up quickly and not turning up the furnace.  I just get a chill that’s hard to reverse.  This is energy efficient.  Till the lights go out.

Today…I’m just going to say we all survived.  Up at 7am to cook turkey- I had 3 hrs sleep  due to DH having muscle pain and up and down in the night.  Got to elderlies at noon and began final food preparations.  Cooked potatoes were being mashed with the hand mixer but that elderly forgot to drain the water.  😮  Strained what was left with a cloth and it worked.  After eating, fridge had no room so I set leftover turkey in roaster outside  [below-freezing temps] on the deck.  NOW DON’T LET ME FORGET THAT!  ….yeah, I very nearly forgot that!!!  Would have made racooons or stray dogs verrrrry happy.  {roll eyes}

AND DH had to take one of our elderlies to ER…..no, I did not poison anyone with the turkey.  But that one had been having pains anyway.  They did come home later …. needs to be checked with regular doc.  {sigh}  The whole day wore me out to the point of being less than brilliant.

But nonetheless, we had another holiday with our elderlies.  Each one may be the last at this stage.  So we are all THANKFUL….for MANY things!  An attitude of gratitude is a good survival skill!
