Mildly productive day. Husband ordered our Big Berkey, two extra filters, and the stand. In a few months we’ll order 4 more filters just to have on hand. Husband and neighbor across the street took down two trees in the front yard that were leaning over the road and our driveway. Neighbor kept all the wood. They use it for bonfires (!) in their backyard. We do have a wood burning fireplace but no insert so it makes the rest of the house cold if we use it. An insert is on the eternal list. Right now the next thing on the eternal list is a Lavario for laundry if the power is out too long. I have my grandmother’s washboard and a big steel washtub so we could do laundry, it would just be so much simpler with the Lavario.
